THE SPACE AND POSSIBLE EVENTS
For the creative writer or artist, this cottage has a very special creative energy. We have experienced it ourselves and are excited to share it with you. In terms of meals, you can order a take-away meal from the cafe or we can create an intimate dinner for 2, a gathering for 6 or 8, a sewing workshop and/or cooking class and multi-course meal, or a spa weekend. Enjoy a wine tasting weekend with food and wine pairings and meet local wine makers or an olive oil tasting weekend during the olive harvest where you can taste the oil as it is produced followed by a meal centered around this special product.
Guests have access to the entire cottage, the outdoor decks, living room, kitchen, bath, and two bedrooms depending on your needs and number of people in your party.
Your stay includes locally made croissants and individual French press coffee or tea. For longer stays we offer croissants the first morning and invite guests to our home for a farm breakfast one morning during your stay.
For longer stays we offer a 10% discount per week. For stays over one week we offer weekly house cleaning, $65 per cleaning.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Our sewing workshop, Sew Off the Grid is behind the cottage where we host creative workshops and classes for locals and Airbnb guests. We also host baby and bridal showers with sewing workshops making baby clothes or gifts for the bride. Let us know if you are interested.
ABOUT YOUR HOSTS
Anne & Salim are experienced, highly rated hosts who are committed to providing great stays for guests. Anne (IG profile @sewoffthegrid) grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and went to college in North Carolina – that’s why we say, “Southern is spoken here” in addition to French, Greek, and Arabic. Salim is the chef/owner of Cafe Collage (IG profile is @cafecollage), a Mediterranean restaurant that we say is “centrally located in the middle of nowhere,” now offering take-away or to-go meals only, Thursday through Sunday nights. Salim also produces award winning olive oil, which they sell at the cafe. The Barouni won a gold medal and the Mission, a silver, at the LA County Fair. Our life motto is “To be, here, now”.
